Ubadah Sabbagh
Chief of Staff, Arcadia Science
Dr. Ubadah Sabbagh is a neuroscientist, biotech strategist, and policy advisor. He is currently Chief of Staff at Arcadia Science where he drives strategy that fuses biology and AI to reimagine how we do science.
As a neuroscientist and bioengineer at MIT, Dr. Sabbagh engineered viruses to be drug delivery vehicles to help map and repair brain circuits. At Virginia Tech, he discovered novel types of neurons connecting the retina to the brain. His discoveries earned him honors such as MIT Technology Review Innovator, Young Arab Pioneer, and the first Syrian scientist in Forbes 30 Under 30.
He also writes on R&D policy in various outlets, including the Washington Post, Nature, and Scientific American, and serves on multiple advisory bodies related to science and tech policy.
